ABOUT ME

Hi, I’m Matt — founder of The Fiscal Phoenix. I live on the NSW South Coast with my Pomchi, Mazzy.

I combine professional training with real frontline experience, holding diplomas in Counselling, Community Services, and Business, plus a Cert IV in IT. I’ve also completed specialist study in problem gambling and personal budgeting, and have spent years working in crisis accommodation — supporting people through financial stress and personal hardship.

I know how easily money stress can chip away at confidence and wellbeing. That’s why I created The Fiscal Phoenix: a space that’s honest, practical, and empowering. My tools — from budgeting packs and savings trackers to affirmation cards — are designed to help you rebuild confidence, regain control, and make your financial life feel manageable again.

Welcome to The Fiscal Phoenix — let’s rise together.

Vision & Mission

Our Mission

At The Fiscal Phoenix, our mission is to help people take control of their money and their mindset — building confidence, not just spreadsheets. We believe real financial resilience comes from practical tools, clear habits, and grounded rituals that keep you motivated when life gets tough.

Our Vision

We see a future where money isn’t a source of stress or shame, but a tool for freedom and stability. The Fiscal Phoenix aims to be a trusted companion for everyday Australians — a space where financial clarity meets emotional strength, and where budgeting feels empowering, not restrictive.
