The Phoenix by Kathy Paquet – A Legacy of Rebirth and Artistry

Every phoenix needs a fire — and for The Fiscal Phoenix, that fire began long before the brand itself.

This stunning artwork was painted by my mum, Kathy Paquet, a painter of more than 40 years with a Bachelor’s Degree in Visual Arts and Secondary Teaching. Her creative journey has spanned decades — from traditional fine art to bold, symbolic works that carry both warmth and emotional depth.

When she painted this phoenix, it wasn’t just a visual piece — it became the heart and symbol of everything The Fiscal Phoenix stands for: rebirth, resilience, and the courage to rise again when life burns everything down.

A Phoenix with Purpose

The vivid mandala-style background represents balance and renewal — the structure that supports transformation. The phoenix at its centre, rendered in fiery tones of red, orange, and gold, symbolizes energy, renewal, and growth emerging from challenge.

It’s a reminder that no matter how uncertain life feels — financially, emotionally, or spiritually — there’s always the potential to rebuild. That’s what The Fiscal Phoenix is all about: creating tools, resources, and inspiration for people ready to reclaim control and rise stronger than before.

An Artistic Legacy

Kathy’s been painting for over four decades, teaching and inspiring creativity along the way. Her work often carries layers of meaning — symbols drawn from nature, mythology, and life experience.

This phoenix, in particular, represents her own artistic renewal — created at a time when both of us were developing new directions in our work. For her, it’s a rekindling of artistic passion. For me, it’s the visual embodiment of the Fiscal Phoenix spirit — turning hardship into power, and power into purpose.

Now Available as Prints

This original painting has now been reproduced as a high-quality wall print, available through The Fiscal Phoenix store. Each print captures the colour, texture, and vibrancy of the original — a piece of the phoenix energy to bring into your own space.

Whether displayed in your home or workspace, it serves as a daily reminder:

“You can rise again — brighter, stronger, and more focused than ever.”

Closing Thoughts

The phoenix has always been a universal symbol of renewal — but this one carries something more personal. It’s a bridge between generations, between art and purpose, between passion and resilience.

And like all things that rise from the ashes, it’s only the beginning.

🕊️ The Fiscal Phoenix – Rise. Rebuild. Renew.
